Chemical Scrubbing Technology
摘要
Chemical absorption is an exothermic process of forming reversible solid chemical bonds between the solute and the solvent. Initially, the solute gets absorbed in the solvent-based on physical absorption, followed by a chemical reaction between the two phases. This strengthens the bond between the unwanted gas component (solute) and the scrubbing liquid (solvent). The endothermic stripping process regenerates the solvent at high temperatures and low pressures. Chemical absorption techniques are especially useful in situations when the partial pressure of carbon dioxide (CO2) is low and the leftover gas requires little acid gas.
