A Novel Method to Quantitative Analyze Virtual Arts Based on Mixed Reality Technology
摘要
Virtual art is the combination of color and objects, where certain prominent features in these works easily attract viewers’ attention. This experiment aims to study eye movement characteristics when people view images, such as the features that attract attention and the eye movement trajectories. The experiment uses the HoloLens 2 device and a virtual environment built with Unity to examine various virtual art pieces. Users wear the HoloLens 2 to view these virtual artworks, and afterward, the device collects their eye movement data to generate gaze heatmaps and eye movement trajectory maps.
