In a society marked by the birth of new digital scenarios of interaction and exchange, in which childhood is also increasingly present and which, in addition, implies a loss of traditional spaces, it is necessary for pedagogy to attend to and understand the processes of identity construction during that age in both scenarios. In this work, which is part of the NATEC-ID project, the aim is to investigate potential gender-based differences in the experience of basic emotions during contact with nature among children in their late childhood stage. The research is based on an anonymous questionnaire administered to 2657 students in 5th and 6th grade. The results indicate that the majority of children have frequent contact with nature, with significant differences in emotional intensity based on gender.
