Educational Resources for Laboratory Practices in Electronic Device Physics

This paper focuses on the educational resources and instructional strategies implemented in the Physics of Electronic Devices (PED) course to enhance the experimental learning experience for Electronic Engineering students. It assesses the effectiveness of virtual, hands-on, and remote laboratories in helping students grasp complex electronic concepts. The course incorporated interactive simulations to visualize microscopic phenomena, hands-on labs for practical experiments with real devices, and remote labs for distance learning. Data was collected through an anonymous survey of students enrolled in the first semester of 2024. The results indicate a positive evaluation of these resources. Simulations were particularly effective for theoretical comprehension, hands-on labs were essential for practical skills, and remote labs provided significant flexibility. Students suggested improvements in user interfaces and the provision of detailed guides to optimize the use of these resources. In conclusion, combining technological tools with active learning methodologies significantly enhances scientific and experimental skills, facilitates the integration of theory and practice, and increases student motivation and interest in the subject.
