Open Educational Resources that Create Links Between the University and Other Educational Levels with an International Approach
摘要
This work presents a proposal developed by the Higher Polytechnic School of Zamora (HPSZ) of the University of Salamanca to raise awareness in the educational community, encourage scientific vocations and highlight the achievements of women in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. To this end, female engineers, architects, and scientists have proposed STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) challenges for competition in primary and secondary educational centres. The proposal presents how these challenges have been approached to enable their internationalization and facilitate their replication. To this end, a didactic guide and teaching sheets have been prepared for each proposed challenge. Their application is presented in a very different environment from the one in which they were initially conceived. Aligning with broader goals to promote gender equality and foster a more inclusive environment in STEAM education. This initiative has underscored the importance of bringing STEAM knowledge to marginalized communities, both indigenous and rural, using these STEAM challenges as educational tools.
