There are three place tours which located in around Banyuwangi, namely Watu Dodol, Red Island and Grajagan. Over the past 6 years Watu Dodol has attracted 226,336 visitors. Meanwhile, Red Island has been visited by 995,586 people in the last 3 years. Visitor’s number to Grajagan tourist attraction in the last 6 years reaches 334,107 people. The number of visitors to Watu Dodol is the lowest compares to the other two beach attractions. The tourist attraction facilities at Watu Dodol are not able to increase the number of tourist visits. Thereby, to increase the tourist attraction in Watu Dodol, a Mini Boat was designed as a marine tourism attraction. Furthermore, to support marine tourism in Banyuwangi, the mini boat was developed with a simple yet exclusive design in accordance to spiral design and applicable safety standards. This allows tourists to easily enjoy the beauty of the beach with Bali Island background. The design concept of monohull mini boat is offered as a problem solving in this paper. The final design of the main dimensions is Length Over All 2.5 m, Breadth 1.8 m, height 0.45 m, Draft 0.15 m, engine 20 HP, passenger capacity 1–2 persons and material is Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP).

摘要
