Rapid urbanization has been a major contributor in the increasing infrastructure developments happening in the Philippines and the continuous trends of these developments led to increase waste production and the loss of open and social spaces which negatively that affects its community well-being. The study examines the possibility of integrating a Solid Waste Management Facility with a Community Park aiming to provide design solutions that responds to architecture and urban design issues that enhances the quality of life of the residents of Bacoor City. The goal of the study is to propose an architectural solution by utilizing Explorative Architectural Design Process supported by Surveys, Interviews, and other mixed research methodologies that gathers data pertaining to identifying spatial requirements, actual site situation, waste management processes, practices, and relevant projects that parallels with the study, and helps to provide relevant creative solutions in the integration of the given architectural typology’s respondent to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDG). The Architectural Solutions presented was able to fuse Waste Management Facilities and Community Parks that contributes to the waste management issues of the city and enhances the community engagement that the proposal may offer to the local community which improves its waste practices, environmental awareness, green jobs, while providing additional open public spaces that the community may use.
