A 48-year-old male patient, with cirrhosis, was brought to the hospital, with altered mental status, irrelevant talking, abdominal distention, and hematemesis for the last 2 days. On examination, the patient was drowsy and disoriented. He was icteric with edematous feet, and moderate ascites.
