A 70-year-old male patient presented to the emergency department with a massive acute painless passage of bright red blood per rectum with postural symptoms. He had no history of fever, weight loss, anorexia, or recent changes in bowel habits. There was no significant history of drug ingestion. The patient was a chronic alcoholic and nonsmoker. There was no significant history of any medical or surgical illness.
