Anesthetic Management of Palatopharyngoplasty in a Child with Ventricular Septal Defect
摘要
A one-year-old boy was diagnosed with a cleft palate and ventricular septal defect after birth and was scheduled for cleft palate repair under general anesthesia. The child also has microtia and mandibular retrognathia. The key points of perioperative anesthetic management, in this case, are the control of the difficult airway and hemodynamic changes related to intracardiac shunting in congenital heart disease.
