This chapter provides a thorough framework for creating cities that support sustainability, longevity, and good health by examining the relationship between climate-resilient urbanism and Blue Zone principles. Using knowledge from Blue Zones—areas with a high life expectancy—it looks at how urban planning can encourage regular exercise, social interaction, a balanced diet, and a sense of purpose in life. The chapter also highlights how policies can support climate resilience and create environments that support these health-promoting behaviours. It draws attention to how technology, neighbourhood-based strategies, and green infrastructure can influence how people live in cities in the future. Cities can address the increasing challenges posed by climate change while improving the well-being of their citizens by combining climate-responsive strategies with health-focused design. In light of the urban challenges of the twenty-first century, this synthesis offers a guide for cities looking to strike a balance between sustainability and public health.
