Architecture is a complex field that requires both experience and imagination. Unlike other forms of art, architecture demands that its work be aesthetically pleasing, structurally sound, and functional. A crucial paradigm shift in an era of rapid technological growth is the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in architecture. The combination of AI with architecture produces significant results that influence the field’s present and future, ranging from advanced visualization approaches to Building Information Modelling (BIM). AI is transforming the way jobs are defined, categorized, and assigned in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector, in the same way computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM did in past decades. The aim of this research proposal is to explore the transformative potential of AI within architectural pedagogy in studio-based education while considering the need to modernize educational frameworks to align with modern architectural practice. This paper will explore the integration of AI in different design stages to streamline the design process as well as investigate both the positive and negative impacts of the adoption of AI in architectural education. Instead of thinking of AI tools as the primary actors in design, designers need to learn how to use them. Thus, this study aims to discuss the wider effects of integrating AI into architectural education, including its impact on professional practice, ethical considerations, and societal implications. With the understanding that AI can transform design processes and enable the upcoming generation of architects, educational institutions may lead a paradigm shift toward a more responsive, adaptive, and future-focused approach to architectural education by embracing innovation and utilizing the transformative power of AI.

摘要
