Ecobit: A Fun and Interactive Education Toolkit to Teach Digital Ecology
摘要
The rapid proliferation of these technologies contributes significantly to global carbon emissions. This study highlights the widespread lack of awareness about digital carbon footprint, particularly among the younger generation. In the study also in the digital age, the environmental impact of digital technologies is often overlooked and focuses on the absence of digital ecology in school curriculum. Through desk research, interviews, user personas, behavioral analysis, and empathy maps, the need to address this gap in education is identified. To meet this need, the study introduces Ecobit, an interactive educational toolkit designed to raise digital carbon consciousness and to bring a behavioral change among students. By integrating engaging activities and games with school curricula, Ecobit fosters a generation that is both tech-savvy and environmentally conscious.
