Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been literally changing the fashion landscape digital, in terms of how fashion is designed, manufactured and sold, and even consumed. Entitled “Embracing AI in Fashion: Designing for Responsible and Robust Practices,” this paper investigates the diverse set of areas where AI intersects with areas in the fashion industry which include creativity enhancement, supply chain optimization, and personalized, inclusive consumer experiences. Even though AI has the power to revolutionize the industry, its use in fashion poses serious ethical dilemmas related to data privacy, underrepresentation, and sustainability. In this study, by reviewing existing literature, case studies, and interviews with the fashion industry, we present a holistic perspective on the landscape of applying AI in fashion, and discuss best practices for AI integration to foster responsible design in fashion. Drawing on detail its very sturdy ethical framework and concrete suggestions the paper is designed to help the fashion industry get the most out of AI while maintaining transparency, accountability and fairness. The results accentuate the importance of addressing ethical dilemmas and exercising responsible AI, to build a more sustainable and inclusive fashion industry.
