This sharp-edged tool is called a graver, which consists of three primary components: the handle, ferrule, and graver. Gravers are found in a range of classic forms that have variety in the handles and the gravers. The variants in the gravers are prominent through different faces of their cutting edges that reflect in the nature of the negative volumes cut in the material.
