The Role of Nanofibers in Muscle Recovery

The versatility of nanofibersNanofibers in recovery as an emerging exploitable approach has gain attention in muscle recovery process due to their distinct feature of physical absorbent property. These tiny fibersFiber are made from the materials, including polymers, ceramics, and composites; they have a high surface area to volume ratio, strong mechanical properties, and are biocompatible. Nanofibers also support cellular attachment, growth, and differentiation in imitating their role in the extracellular matrix to provide support during remanufacturing of damaged tissue with engineered scaffolds for tissue engineering. The problem is that they can also transport bioactive compoundsBioactive compounds andGrowth factors (protein-based nanoparticles) growth factorsFactors to the damaged muscles directly, cutting days and even weeks off the healingHealing process. In addition, nanofibersNanofibers in recovery could be used in methods like electrospinning to provide muscles with the most advantageous environment for their repair and regenerationRegeneration. Recent studies show they can reduce inflammationInflammation and oxidative stress, helping to speed recovery after injury or surgery. In this review article, we briefly summarize the latest technology for nanofiber, including the mechanism of muscle recovery using nanofiber, and discuss the future research, clinical applications of this technology. Advancing therapeutic approaches for muscle injuries to more effective recovery outcomes is possible leveraging the unique property of nanofibers.
