China’s exploration of the “intermediate zone” has a long history. Sorting out the historical experience and theoretical core of “intermediate zone”, exploring the changing dimensions and strategic position of the new “intermediate zone”, and evaluating the strategic practice and future orientation of China’s efforts to secure the new “intermediate zone” in the new era are major issues in current Chinese diplomatic strategy.
