The Fujian–Taiwan wind lion masters, a common cultural symbol of Fujian Province and Taiwan Province, is a valuable cultural specialty shared by both sides of the Taiwan Strait. It has been demonstrated that this cultural practice positively promotes cross-strait cultural identity and, at the same time, highlights the cultural uniqueness of the two places. The present study focuses on discussing the representative appearance imagery of the Fujian–Taiwan wind lion masters across the Taiwan Strait. Twelve wind lion masters with large differences in appearance were selected. In the first stage, 10 professionals were recruited to select the 40 adjectives out of 140 which were identified the most suitable by the participants. The results were analyzed by the factor analysis method, yielding the findings about the six groups of Fujian–Taiwan wind lion masters. The resultant data set contains six sets of adjectives: hard and robust, uplifting and generous, vivid and gorgeous, simple and sharp, festive and countryside, and grotesque and rural. In the subsequent phase, the research questionnaire will be disseminated, corresponding to the 12 wind lion masters and the six groups of imagery phrases. The evaluation scores of the 12 wind lion masters in the six groups of imagery phrases will be calculated by combining the statistical results through the triangular fuzziness in the fuzzy theory. The questionnaire on 12 wind lion masters and 6 imagery phrases will be spread. Their scores will be calculated. The study shows their distinct features. A database will be made for designers to meet users’ needs.
