In this chapter, we use air conditioning (AC) loads, the most representative load type for VPPs, as an example to illustrate how cyber-physical coupling impacts the performance of a VPP in tracking frequency regulation signals, and thereby affects its revenue. This chapter presents simulation tests based on actual hardware and market data. Additionally, the methodologies introduced in the first part of this book, including polyhedral feasible region modeling and parameter identification, are rigorously applied to model AC loads, serving as a practical application example of the theoretical framework discussed in Part 1.
