VPPs represent a new business model emerging alongside the rapid development of renewable energy. We begin by introducing the concept of a VPP, including its origins, definition, functions, and architecture. Given that VPPs originated in Europe and North America, we will examine mature VPP projects from recent years in Germany, the United States, and Australia to illustrate how various VPPs operate. Additionally, drawing on personal engineering experience, the author will discuss the development and implementation of VPPs within China, providing insights into their construction and practical applications in China.
