The digital twin technology facilitates real-time mapping of the operational state of the production line. However, due to the extensive model data involved in this process, challenges such as twin fluency and model distortion may arise. To address these issues, this paper proposes a Vertical Rate-based Quadratic Error Metric Algorithm (VQEM). By incorporating vertical rate into the existing Quadratic Error Metric Algorithm (QEM), it compensates for point and surface weights while recalculating folding costs. This approach reduces the amount of model data while preserving the mesh of key areas, thereby enhancing visual perception. Experimental results demonstrate that our proposed algorithm offers high simplification efficiency and easy implementation.

摘要
