Herpes Viral Keratitis
摘要
Herpetic eye diseases, caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV) and varicella-zoster virus (VZV), have the potential to cause an array of disorders affecting various ocular tissues, including the cornea. Among the HSV subtypes, herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV-1) is the prevailing cause of ocular infections, while neonatal ocular infections are commonly attributed to herpes simplex virus type 2 (HSV-2) [1].
