Blockchain-Enhanced Secure Data Management for Internet of Vehicles (IoV) Networks

This study presents a blockchain-based framework designed to enhance data security, integrity, and access control in Internet of Vehicles (IoV) networks. The proposed system leverages a permissioned blockchain integrated with an advanced consensus mechanism to address challenges related to scalability, latency, and secure data sharing. Key components include vehicle authentication, error monitoring, and encrypted data exchange, all tested through simulations and real-world scenarios. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed framework significantly improves data integrity, reduces consensus latency, and enhances trust management compared to existing methods. This research highlights blockchain's potential to revolutionize secure data management in IoV networks, with practical applications in autonomous vehicles and smart transportation systems. Future work will focus on large-scale deployment and further optimization of the framework to tackle real-world challenges in dynamic vehicular environments.
