Analysis of the Applicability and Economics of Post-fracturing Fluid Drainage Technology

This study proposes the applicability and economics of post-fracturing fluid drainage technology. Fracturing is one of the primary methods for enhancing recovery rates in low-porosity and low-permeability reservoirs. As fracturing operations increase in scale, the effective return flow of a large volume of fracturing fluid has become a critical factor limiting the effectiveness of fracturing. This paper focuses on seven commonly used post-fracturing fluid recovery technologies at home and abroad, including swabbing, coiled tubing nitrogen lifting, conventional tubing nitrogen lifting, screw pump drainage, Sucker rod pump, electric submersible pump drainage, and jet pump drainage. It provides a detailed analysis of the characteristics, applicability, and economic efficiency of each technique, offering references for the design and selection of post-fracturing fluid recovery processes.
