Nowadays, digital images have become familiar to all users and are widely available on the Internet. Determining the origin of an image, therefore, becomes a challenge to ensure that people are using these images legally after purchasing, auctioning, or asking for permission from the owner. In this paper, we present a Web3 system based on digital watermarking and blockchain technologies for image copyright management and authentication. Digital watermarking is used to provide information about the image’s origin, while blockchain is used to perform transactions related to images. In more detail, the blockchain user’s public key is used in digital watermarking technology to embed in the image. We also utilize different algorithms and artificial intelligence models to solve the challenge of matching requested images and a large number of authenticated images.
