Proposing Artificial Intelligence Integration in Educational ERP Systems: A Case Study of MyParagonU

ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), initially developed as MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning), has since evolved beyond business enterprises into Educational ERP, widely adopted by schools and higher education institutions to address growing administrative complexities, such as managing student performance, optimizing financial operations, and resource allocation. Today, ERP software vendors talk more about the integration of AI and how it affects ERP software. As in-house ERP developers at Paragon International University, we are actively exploring ways to integrate AI into our MyParagonU ERP system. This study addresses two key research questions: How can Artificial Intelligence be effectively integrated into MyParagonU ERP system to enhance its functionality and address existing limitations? What are the potential benefits and challenges of incorporating AI technologies such as machine learning and natural language processing into MyParagonU ERP System, particularly regarding administrative efficiency and user experience? This phase is focused on analytical research and proposal development, aimed at evaluating the potential integration of AI into the MyParagonU ERP system and formulating recommendations based on findings. This study explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the MyParagonU ERP system to address current limitations and enhance functionality. The research includes a literature review, needs assessment, feasibility study, and user feedback through surveys and focus groups. The study proposes the integration of AI-driven features such as chatbot, predictive analytics, and automated data validation to improve administrative efficiency and the user experience.
