The instrument must be able to measure the variables it is intended for accurately and reliably. However, failure to carry out sufficient testing can lead to inaccurate measurement of these variables. This issue highlights the need to assess reliability of the research instrument before initiating an actual study. A pilot study was carried out before the main survey to identify potential difficulties in the survey items or elements. Pilot studies can be useful for academics to decide on sample size and enhance the design for assessing User Experience (UX) in Immersive Virtual Reality Serious Games (IVRSG). This strategy is useful since it ensures that each item is dependable and that respondents can understand it quickly. In this study, a pilot test including 38 UiTM students was used to determine the instrument’s reliability. The analysis led to Cronbach’s Alpha (CA) coefficient of 0. 99 showing that the instrument is very reliable.

摘要
