This research investigated the existing digital health interventions (DHIs) designed to support self-management in chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients. By analysing the functions of DHIs according to the WHO’s “Classification of Digital Health Interventions,” this study highlights how these technologies aid in various CKD self-management areas, including education and awareness, health monitoring, symptom management, nutrition, physical activity, and mental well-being. Despite advances, several gaps remain, including incomplete coverage of self-management areas, a lack of integration of health behaviour theories, lack of patient engagement tactics, and limited research on long-term efficacy. The paper provides recommendations for future research and DHIs development to improve CKD patient outcomes.
