The research seeks to determine smart governance e-services in Malaysia, with an emphasis on identifying services available and the related challenges of implementation. Digital government is essential in transforming Malaysia into a smart city where public service delivery is efficient, transparent, and accessible. There are infrastructure constraints that obstruct the adoption of smart forms of governance and services. There is also a digital divide, cyberattacks, and resistance to change within the public sector. This study explores these barriers extensively and suggests technological as well as social solution. This paper discusses the potential solutions to overcoming these problems that will enhance e-service provision in Malaysia through which it will accelerate its digital transformation journey hence achieving its smart governance goals.
