In this study, a stub angle joint with gusset plates and bolted connections will be analyzed, taking into account the joint effects along with gusset plates and bolted connections. Because towers are tall structures, they can be analyzed as truss systems, with members assumed to be pin-connected with zero moments at each joint. Three models have been used for the analysis and optimization using Ansys Workbench. The joint analysis results demonstrate that stress values increase at the three members and the stub angle section. The axial forces obtained from the Staad pro analysis of the superstructure have been employed in this discussion of the Bolt Connection Analysis. Von Mises stress, plastic strain at tower members, and deformations at tower member nodes are all taken into account. Among the three models, Bolt Model02 provides the best solution with more material savings and a stronger connection. This demonstrates how crucial joints and connections are in the distribution of stress within the transmission tower.

摘要
