This chapter describes how autoethnography offers an ideal methodology for exploring aspects of Catholic education research. The chapter explores the roots of autoethnography, and casts light on the value of this way of researching. It is explained that story-telling is the heart of this methodology. In the final section of the chapter attention is given to the way autoethnography is able open up a deeper understanding of Catholic education leadership.
