This paper describes about the design of a pill-box window for the input and output coupling circuit of a high power Multiple-beam Klystron (MBK). The modeling and simulation of the pill-box window operating in S-band is carried out using CST Microwave Studio. A standard rectangular waveguide WR-284 is used as input and output ports of pill-box window assembly. The window dimensions have been optimized and VSWR less than 1.05, insertion loss less than 0.05dB could be achieved at the desired frequency f0 through simulation results. The simulation results for VSWR and insertion loss are found to be in good agreement with the measured results. The multipaction analysis has also been performed using Particle-In-Cell solver in CST Microwave Studio, to ensure safe operation of window assembly at rated power.
