Application of Polymer Profile Control and Fine Waterflooding Technology in Post-salt Reservoirs of the Kenkiaya Oilfield
摘要
In the III area of the Kenkiaya Oilfield, the main conventional heavy oil reservoirs in the post-salt formation are characterized by positive rhythmic layers. However, prolonged water flooding has led to serious water channeling, rendering the ineffective circulation and affecting the development results adversely. In order to enhance the sweep efficiency of the injection system and improve the effectiveness of water injection development, polymer profile control combined with fine waterflooding experiment was conducted in the III area. Through a comprehensive approach encompassing research, plugging, prevention, adjustment, driving, and repair, adjustments were made to the well pattern, the correspondence between injection and production was optimized, and problematic wells were promptly repaired. In the producers, a technique combining “composite plugging + high-pressure gravel pack sand control” was employed to effectively seal highly water flooded layers and prevent sand production, thereby improving reservoir flow conductivity. In the injectors, the cationic-anionic polymer profile control technology was applied to plug high-permeability layers and redirect fluid flow in the deep reservoir. Meanwhile, during the later stages of water flooding, precision layering injection was utilized through concentric dual-tube injection columns to maximize oil recovery. The experiment was implemented in three phases, involving a total of 212 workovers, 370 comprehensive measures such as composite plugging and high-pressure gravel packing, and separate water injection for 4 injectors. A total of 958.6 × 103 m3 (0.182PV) of displacement agent was injected, including 365.7 × 103 m3 of polymer solution. The average daily oil production per well in the entire area increased from 0.7 t/d before the measures to a maximum of 4.7 t/d, with a decrease of 6.4 percentage points in comprehensive water cut and an increase of 6 percentage points in oil recovery. The polymer profile control and fine waterflooding experiment has significant implications for improving oil recovery in similar mature oil reservoirs in the late development stage.
