Community Engagement
摘要
Community engagement is a cornerstone of urban planning (Supriyanto et al. in Proceedings of the first multidiscipline international conference, MIC 2021, 30 Oct 2021, Jakarta, Indonesia. EAI, 2022), particularly in the development of the 15-minute city, a model that prioritizes accessibility, proximity, and inclusivity in urban environments. By involving citizens in the urban planning and design process, cities can ensure that developments reflect the unique needs, values, and aspirations of the community. This participatory approach not only enhances the functionality and liveability of urban spaces but also fosters a sense of ownership, accountability, and long-term commitment among residents (Ismail and Said in Procedia Soc Behav Sci 168:357–364, 2015).
