The current era is the age of technology where with the advancement of industrialization, the addition of novel techniques is making the product more green and sustainable. One of the causes of global pollution is textile effluent which is due to improper process management. The demand for sustainable products in applied fields needs such processing techniques that are not only cost and energy-effective but also make the atmosphere clean and pollution free. To achieve this goal, the inclusion of statistical approaches are of immense importance where response surface designs, i.e., central composite design and Box Behnken design are most commonly being used. These response surface designs explore various choices of input dyeing parameters and provide the most optimal design points among the infinite possible, leading towards clean procedures. Response surface designs also help to select the best potential parameters like nature of treatment, time, temperature, pH and other allied auxiliary levels. In this chapter discussion about the possible implementation of these existing and novel statistical techniques in the optimization of textile processes to save energy, capital and labor has been made. Hence, the findings of this chapter may guide researchers, traders to employ these methods in their processes to make the product sustainable and global friendly.

摘要
