The presence of metals in the emissions of electronic cigarettes (e-cigs) has been reported in several studies. Their presence may be attributed to metal filaments used for evaporating e-liquids, the composition of these liquids, or their interaction with metal parts. Many of the detected metals are known to be highly toxic. There is a high scarcity of their concentrations in the emissions due to the uncontrolled parameters during e-cigs use, such as smoking regime, battery voltage, e-liquids aging, etc., but also due to the different consumables used. This chapter presents the results of extensive literature research concerning the presence of metals in e-cig emissions. This search was performed on the Scopus database using specific keywords and comprises the papers published from 2010 until 2023. The initial query resulted in 3927 articles; after a detailed analysis, 41 articles report the detection of metals in e-cig emissions. Fifty-eight (58) different metals were reported, sixteen (16) of them below the detection limit. The concentrations of the metals, the generation of vapors, their collection, the analytical method used, and any other information available in the published studies, such as the type of device used, are reported in this chapter.
