Entrepreneurship, Women Entrepreneurship, and Entrepreneurial Intentions: Building Global Impact

Entrepreneurship can be considered essential for countries to grow socioeconomically, so entrepreneurship has gained worldwide attention and may be considered as a catalyst for innovation and creativity. This article aims to analyze the critical components of entrepreneurship in the global context. The article discusses the global representation in entrepreneurship, categories of startups, funding for startups, women entrepreneurship, and entrepreneurial intentions. The study found that there is a need for women entrepreneurship across the world and this issue is also emphasized in the United Nation’s millennial development goals (MDGs) and sustainable development goals (SDGs). The study also found that the entrepreneurial intentions of women should be strengthened to motivate them to establish novel ventures. Expert and exploratory investigations can be carried out by future scholars to identify key components of the entrepreneurial environment. To understand the cognitive differences between entrepreneurs and non-entrepreneurs, experimental investigations can also be conducted.
