It is mandatory for the construction industry to establish welfare-related conveniences that offer a risk-free, secure, and productive employment atmosphere. This research aims to identify the essential welfare-related amenities for construction sites in Bangladesh, with the goal of ensuring worker welfare. It is anticipated that the installation of these facilities will elevate the welfare standards at construction sites. First, a thorough survey of the existing literature identified important welfare-related issues. From these, seven important factors were recognized: (i) pure water for drinking; (ii) ways of cooking food; (iii) water for boiling and cleaning; (iv) appropriate lodging for resting; (v) hygienic amenities; (vi) space for changing and storing clothes; and (vii) emergency medical equipment availability at the site. Following this, a Delphi survey was conducted involving four categories of respondents: academicians, site managers, engineers, and workers, to determine the relative significance of these factors in relation to the welfare status of the site. Each respondent group is divided into two groups. Using statistical tools such as the Relative Importance Index (RII), Mean Scores (MS), and Inter-Rater Agreement (IRA), and through the evaluation of RII, MS, and IRA, the importance of these factors was evaluated. Following the first round of the survey, differences emerged among the respondent group regarding the relative importance of these factors. However, the four groups of respondents reached a consensus after the second round of the survey. Finally, the outcomes were examined using the techniques of Kendall’s coefficient (KC), chi-square (CS), Cronbach’s alpha (CA), and significance level (SL). These thorough analyses revealed that workers prioritized pure water for drinking facilities as the most important factor for site welfare, with water for boiling and cleaning as the second most important issue.
