Design of Integrated Platform and Payload Architecture for Micro-Satellite

In recent years, the technology of micro-satellite have been developed rapidly. A higher demand of function, performance and miniaturization of micro-satellite is presented. Under the constraints of limited weight, volume and power, the ability of resource management and functional density of the satellite are needed to improve. In the paper, a new design of integrated platform and payload architecture for micro-satellite is proposed, the open architecture of NASA space communication radio system(STRS) is extended to the micro-satellite architecture, and the integrated resources such as RF, computing, storage and sensors on board are managed and dispatched comprehensively. The software and hardware architecture of integrated platform and payload is designed. The strategy of standard interfaces such as high-speed and low-speed bus and software interface of system is presented. The access and expansion of third-party software, firmware and hardware are available, and the reconfiguration functions on-orbit of platform and payload are available, which provides a reference for realizing the sharing of resources, the expansion of functions and the switching of tasks for micro-satellite.
