Spectrum resources is a key factor that determines the development scale of telecom operators. With the development of wireless communications technologies from 2G to 5G, low-frequency spectrums with better coverage performance have been occupied. 5G networks support more service types and have greater requirements for spectrum. If the occupied spectrum can be used, the network scale construction will be greatly promoted. Dynamic spectrum sharing (DSS) between 5G and 4G networks is a reasonable solution to the occupation of low spectrum resources. DSS enables 5G networks to use low-cost spectrum resources, reducing construction costs for fast and large-scale 5G networks. DSS reduces the costs for telecom operators to re-cultivate or purchase new spectrum resources, and helps 4G users smoothly transition to 5G.
