In 5G network, the quality of service (QoS) experienced by UEs is intimately tied to the signal quality at their respective locations. For a more comprehensive awareness of network coverage, it is imperative for network operators to acquire coverage performance together with UEs’ location information. However, some 5G terminals are functionally limited and thus incapable of reporting location information to radio network, resulting in blind spots in network coverage evaluation. This paper proposes an algorithm for obtaining UE location information (latitude and longitude) by correlating core network UE identifiers with their radio UE identifiers. Addressing the issue of unavailable UE location information from radio network, this research facilitates precise operational optimization within 5G networks.

摘要
