Satellite-Based Environmental Monitoring for Sustainable Well-Being
摘要
Urban greening broadly influences environmental quality and sustainability in rapidly urbanizing areas. This research looks into the dynamics of urban greenery in major cities of Bangladesh, including Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Barisal, Rangpur and Mymensingh, from 2019 to 2022. Using Sentinel-2 satellite imagery and advanced remote sensing techniques such as pixel-based analysis, cloud masking, and the enhanced vegetation index, we have evaluated changes in green spaces. Despite challenges in data availability and methodological limitations. These findings provide important insights for urban planning and sustainable development. By leveraging Google Earth Engine for data processing and analysis, this research provides a robust framework for monitoring urban green spaces and informs policy decisions. The paper represents enhancing urban green infrastructure and promotes sustainable well-being in Bangladesh.
