Research and Application of Anti-Pollution Rubber Plug Press Fluid for Cementing

In the drilling of high-temperature wells and complex wells, solid-phase particles are deposited due to changes in the performance of the drilling fluid caused by the introduction of new treating agents into the drilling fluid or poor sealing of the plugs. Or the flocculation or solidification phenomenon caused by the contamination between the flushed-down cement slurry and the top replacement drilling fluid. These phenomena will lead to a large amount of sediment clogging at the bottom of the well, which will cause the subsequent cementing quality electric measuring instrument to be blocked and unable to reach the bottom of the well. In order to alleviate the problems above, the anti-pollution rubber plug press fluid (RPPF) was developed. Through the development of suspending agent and anti-pollution agent, the anti-pollution RPPF with excellent performance was formed, and the formula was 2% suspending agent + 5% anti-pollution agent. By evaluating the performance of anti-pollution RPPF, such as the suspension stabilization, viscosity reduction of drilling fluids, high temperature stability, shear and salt resistant, anti-pollution ability between cement slurry and drilling fluid, etc., we obtained that the anti-pollution RPPF has a temperature resistance of 150 ℃, a viscosity reduction rate of 85% for the drilling fluid, a viscosity recovery rate of more than 88% after 20 min of shear, good temperature resistance and shear resistance ability, which effectively prevents the flocculation and deposition phenomenon brought about by mutual contamination between the drilling fluid and the cement slurry after contacting, and prevents the deposition of the solid-phase particles in the drilling fluid and the cement slurry particles in the cement slurry in the vicinity of the plug, which ensures that the electric measuring instruments are smoothly lowered into the bottom of wells in the subsequent construction. The field test application shows that the cementing quality of the wells using anti-pollution RPPF is qualified, and there is no phenomenon of blockage in electrical testing.
