The horizontal shale oil wells in Qian'an area of Jilin oilfield, has poor wellbore stability, and long drilling cycle, while the drilling cost is high when using three-way wellbore structure and rotary geosteering tool. It might affect the benefit of exploration and development of shale oil. For the purpose of building production quickly and efficiently, a series of supporting technologies have been researched, such as strong inhibition and strong plugging of oil-based drilling fluid, optimization of wellbore structure, using LWD tool for horizontal section, supporting “One Trip Drilling” for speed increase and optimization of drilling tool assembly, precisely control the bottom hole pressure. The experiment was carried out in three horizontal shale oil wells, with a horizontal section of 2000 m, and the average drilling cycle is 26.5 days, which is shortened by 48% compared with the previous period. This technology can solve the technical problems existing in the drilling of shale oil in Qian'an area of Jilin oilfield, and meet the needs of efficient exploration and development of shale oil.
