In view of the shallow reservoir burial, severe sand production, low well temperature, and the increasing number of sand production wells with complex well conditions such as casing changes, sidetracking, and long well sections in the western Y oilfield, the current conventional mechanical sand control and chemical artificial well wall completion technologies are adapted to To solve the problem of poor performance, research on sand control completion technology for sand production wells with complex well conditions has been carried out. In the study, based on the characteristics of the reservoir and well conditions, optimization studies were conducted on the composition of high-strength artificial wellbore sand control materials, the proportion of sand control material particle size, and on-site construction process parameters, forming a sand control completion process suitable for complex well conditions in Y oilfield. The research results show that the consolidation strength of the optimized chemical sand control completion materials has been increased from 6 MPa to more than 10 MPa, and the material consolidation temperature has been reduced from 40 to 20 °C, which solves the problem of difficult low-temperature consolidation, low strength, and complex problems of conventional chemical sand control materials. The problem of short validity period of sand well conditions. By optimizing on-site construction technology, the problem of inefficient filling of sand wells in long well sections was solved. The sand control completion technology for sand producing wells with complex well conditions has been applied 31 times in the Y oilfield in western China. Among them, 26 wells have been implemented, 5 wells have been implemented, and the success rate of sand control is 100%. The average increase in oil production per well is 3.3 tons, and the average increase in injection per well is 15 cubic meters.
