Research on Sand Control Completion Technology of Low Viscosity Single Liquid Implicit Organic Silicone Resin with Cementing Wall

For Loose sandstone reservoirs have shallow burial, poor diagenesis, and loose cementation, and sand production from oil wells is inevitable. For complex sand producing wells such as side drilling, factors such as reservoirs and production systems can easily exacerbate formation sand production. The use of conventional sand control has certain limitations, which increases the difficulty of sand control construction. To address the above issues, we have developed a low viscosity single liquid implicit organic silicone resin cementing wellbore wall sand control completion technology. A low viscosity (viscosity at 20 ℃: 20–25 mPa s) single liquid implicit organic silicone resin solution system was successfully developed by conducting core consolidation experiments, performance evaluations, and on-site verification experiments, which combines adhesive and curing agents. This system meets the sand control and completion requirements of structurally complex wells such as sidetracking. This system has the characteristics of high compressive strength of rock cores (8–10 MPa), high retention rate of original permeability of the form ation after construction (over 80%), and high retention rate of formation productivity (over 90%). 25 wells were implemented on site, with an effective sand control rate of over 90% and an average effective period of over 1 year. The on-site application shows that this technology is safe in construction, simple in process, strong in erosion resistance, has little damage to the formation, high success rate in sand control, and has a long effective period. It can be further promoted and applied.
