Application of Liquid Resin Plugging Technology in Sulige Gas Wells

With the expansion of the development scale of the Sulige block in Changqing Oilfield, the normalization of damage to the integrity of gas well wellbore is one of the key factors limiting the success rate of fracturing operations. The liquid resin plugging agent is insoluble in oil or water. The liquid resin plugging agent with an initial viscosity of around 10 Bc has good fluidity. After solidification, the plugging agent has good acid and alkali resistance, there is no dissolution phenomenon in 20% HCl or 10% NaOH solution. The ultimate compressive strength reaches 92 MPa, which meets the requirements of fracturing construction after wellbore plugging. This type of plugging agent is less used domestically, so a mature liquid resin plugging technology has not been formed. This article analyzes the performance of liquid resin plugging agent, and based on the initial construction experience of Su XX-XX well, optimizes the resin dosage, setting time, and grinding shoe structure according to parameters such as water absorption index, mixing section depth, and return material state, and improves the process to enhance the success rate of plugging. This technology has been successfully applied in well Su XX-XX, providing a mature and effective process reference for the development of liquid resin plugging technology.
