The channeling of the old horizontal wells in the oilfield is a wellbore fault or wellbore integrity defect, which seriously affects the routine production of the oil well and the effect of re-fracturing, The traditional method of channeling treatment is the cement squeezing, which mainly has two drawbacks, one is the small amount of effective slurry injection into the pressurized trap, and the other is the reversing out of the cement slurry after depressurization, which generally may be caused by operational reasons, or by the failure of downhole tools. A circulating technology was proposed to deal with external channeling, which applied the idea of “abandoning blockage and adopting replacement”. Firstly, the channeling amount was confirmed by using a multi-packer string. then the cement retainer was set at the wellbore, in the middle of the inter-channeling layers; Then pumped the cement slurry to flow along the path of “tubing → retainer → perforation holes of the lower layer → channeling groove → perforation holes of the upper layer → annulus” to displace the pressurized fluid in the channeling groove with the cement slurry; Finally, the cement slurry solidified in situ to achieve the purpose of the treatment. The field test was carried out in Well G19, and the channeling between two intervals was treated, replacing the pressure-bearing fluid in the channeling groove with cement slurry, and the treatment effect was excellent and subsequently confirmed to be reliable by re-fracturing operation.

摘要
