The Study of Sedimentary Microfacies Description of Single Sand Body in Complex Meandering River
摘要
Meandering river provides good reservoir sands for oil and gas accumulation. The traditional method of identifying sedimentary microfacies of meandering river is “to use point bar to extrapolate river boundaries”. But due to the effect of lateral erosion and channels abandoned, it is easy to increase or decrease the scale of the river. So this method may have low accuracy and negative impact on the oil production. Based on the characteristics of meandering river, like complex internal framework, vertically superimposition, plane swing and repeatedly abandoned, this study for the first time proposed a comprehensive method: Firstly, delineating the river boundary based on the discontinuously interchannel sand, the differences of the top and thickness of the river sand, and abandoned channel. And then tracing the final phase channel by the abandoned channel’s features and sand thickness trends, following the prediction of the abandoned channel, and delineating of the point bar, after the establishment of the sands’ framework. Finally, modifying the micro-facies map with the real production data. By using the above mentioned method, we have finely delineating the sedimentary microfacies of the single meandering river sand in HD oilfield of Bohai Bay. The application of this method provides the oilfield production measures to adjust and improve the injection and production wells network. In the comprehensive adjustment stage, this method guided the 117 horizontal wells landing, and landing segment into the reservoir about 1–1.5 m, sandstone drilling rate is about 89%, and succeeded in raising oil production rate and recovery, the average moisture content of the field dropped by nearly 15%, and found reserves of approximately 10 million tons.
