Quantitative Evaluation of the Dengying 4 Member Gas Reservoirs in the Intra-platform of Anyue Gasfield

Reservoir classification evaluation is an important research content in the design of gas reservoir development plans and well Deployment, which has indicative significance for reservoir quality judgment and type classification. Carbonate reservoirs exhibit strong heterogeneity due to multiple factors such as karstification, fracture, and acidification reconstruction, and often have strong independence, unclear priority, and unclear degree of influence among these factors, resulting in a more complex quantitative evaluation of carbonate reservoirs and uncertainty in the evaluation results. In view of this, taking the Dengying 4 member gas reservoirs in the intra-platform of Anyue gasfield as the research object, the main controlling factors for reservoir development were identified using static and dynamic data such as core, logging, tracer, and testing. Based on this, six evaluation parameters that can characterize reservoir characteristics were selected, and the weight of each parameter was calculated using grey correlation analysis to determine the comprehensive evaluation indicators of the reservoir. Therefore, quantitative evaluation research on reservoirs under the main controlling factors was carried out. The results show that the main controlling factors for reservoir development in the study area include the degree of mound-bank complex development, the intensity of karstification, the degree of fracture development, and the intensity of acidification reconstruction. Through weight coefficient calculation, the reservoir thickness has the highest weight, followed by porosity value, fracture density, acid intensity, and mound-bank to strata ratio. The acoustic wave weight coefficient is the smallest; According to the comprehensive evaluation indicators of reservoirs (IREI), they can be divided into four types of reservoirs. The classification criteria for Class I, II, III, and IV reservoirs are IREI ≥ 36, 30 ≤ IREI < 36, 24 ≤ IREI < 30, and IREI < 24, respectively. Among them, Class I and II reservoirs account for 57.1%, making them high-quality reservoirs in this area, while Class III reservoirs account for 28.6%. The comprehensive evaluation indicators of reservoirs have a good correlation with the tested gas production, and the evaluation results have a certain degree of reliability, which can provide a basis for the next development decision.
